Bringing men on board with gender equality
Until now, gender diversity efforts have focused primarily on women and, in turn, have met with only limited success. On average across the European Union, the percentage of women holding executive committee roles has risen over the past four years from 4 to 10%, suggesting that women will still hold less than 20% of Europe’s executive committee roles by 2022. “The numbers are moving at a snail’s pace,” reports Eleanor Tabi Haller-Jorden, general manager of Catalyst Europe. To drive real change, discussions around gender diversity increasingly focus on the strategic significance of these issues for men.
