EYID: EU-Quality
The main objective of this project (which recently received several best practice awards for its equality project KLARA) is to develop a European society of equal chances for both genders, using a network of 42 member associations. The project investigates on how women perceive the EU, in particular in the fields of gender equality and democracy and aims to find out which expectations and needs women do have towards the EU. It involves partner organisations from Germany, Romania, Slovakia, Spain and the Czech Republic as well as NGOs and public institutions from Austria. Women have the chance to create an exchange of information and experience regarding history and living conditions in these countries and promote mutual understanding and tolerance.
An international conference in Vienna will summarise the results and conclusions of the project and present them to experts and the wider public. The outcomes will be disseminated via the network and will reach a very broad public.
