Anti-discrimination-Towards-Roma helpline in Czech Republic

In February, the Czech non-governmental organization Z§vůle práva opened a helpline for Roma as part of the “Ma den pes!” (Don’t give in!) project. The goal of the helpline is to provide guidance and advice to people who have been the victims of major crimes and discrimination in the Czech Republic, particularly Roma victims. In addition to individual assistance, the helpline is also a source for non-governmental institutions aiming to help socially disadvantaged Roma people. In the event of extreme cases involving systemic problems that may have a broader social impact, Z§vůle práva also provides legal aid for the victims by filling out relevant legal forms and in some cases, acting as legal representation.
