Global HR Leaders meet – and dedicate one full day to D&I

For its 25th anniversary, the World HRD Congress offers a unique opportunity to meet global HR leaders and discuss the entire HR value chain, including D&I. From 15 – 17 Feb 2017, the truly global event, taking place in Mumbai, features multiple tracks, e.g. World Women Leadership.

The aim of WORLD HRD Congress is to offer a global platform that helps HR leaders from across the world to listen to the best in their field and learn from each other. Hence, the event focuses on both networking and advancing each of the HR disciplines covered, including strategic HRM, Training & Development, Leadership, Compensation & Benefits, Organisational Development, Health & Wellness, HR Tech and also Diversity & Inclusion.

A rare quality focus

Unlike completely commercial events, the WHRDC is guided by the advisory council and hence offers quality – for no one can buy a speaking slot. The Advisory council guides the strategic intent of the event making it rich in content and also decides about the Global Awards for HR Excellence.

The World HRD Congress will also pay a tribute to woman achievers from across the globe. The Woman super achievers will be a part of the Leadership congress. Those who are MAD – Make A Difference – will be recognised for making the world a better place.

A truly different type of event

When Dr. Bathia started his first World HRD Congress in 1992, there was no Internet at the time and the event title was ‘The Great HR Show’. Global HR Leaders from across 13 countries got together for creating a learning opportunity. Over the years the event grew in size and came to be recognised as one of the leading and pioneering events in the HR world. For the 25th anniversary, the event will present 208 speakers, 20 moderators and a total of 90 sessions and awards in Mumbai, India. Due to the intelligent event design with multiple streams each day, more than 1,000 participants from more than 130 countries (!) will find ample opportunity to network and to choose the areas – inside or outside of their own – they wish to learn from.

D&I thought leaders from several continents

The event will present both a Diversity & Inclusion stream and a World Women Leadership stream. In both areas, fascinating personalities and progressive companies (including Tata, Johnson&Johnson, Axa or Barclays) have already confirmed their input. While the programme is still being finalised, the website presents many of the experts that will contribute to the success.

For the silver jubilee in 2017, the event theme is “YOU we Can!”.

The event was originally designed and started by Dr. R. L. Bhatia, a pioneer in transformational thinking and change management. An author of several books in Management and a professional who creatively uses visualisation in Training and Learning. As a true pioneer, has created many firsts: first management film festival; first corporate film festival; first to showcase work on career planning for success. His ideas have contributed to thought leadership and making a difference to lives of many and his latest initiative focuses on CSR, through the World CSR Day. Dr. Bhatia loves to identify talent and research on two subjects: People and Excellence.
